None of these war games give a true understanding of the nature of wars. The players escape nto a Fantasy where there is no boredom, no risk of disease, no suffering,no grieving with the death of friens and comrades, miserable living conditions and starvation. I have talked to many survivors of world war one, ww2, Korea and Vietnam. Most of the brave men and women would not tell any stories. I have also talked to many war game players and their stories of their glorious exploits are pathetic.

I cant believe that you would actually waste the space on this website to post what you did, war games aren't supposed to be a realistic representation of war, they allow people the opportunity to waste some time, to some people they may even be their, I’ve played war games before, not because I wanted an accurate representation of what war is like but because I was bored and me and some friends could act out on some emotions in a safe way, if you believe that "war games" are supposed to be a representation of what war is like then you are a very ignorant person.

I agree with your point that people are able to act out emotions in a safe way by playing wargames. That is good.
